Miranda Lambert’s enjoying her fried chicken and refusing to let the haters get her down

ABC/Mark Levine Miranda Lambert’s dealing with her haters with a sense of humor.

Earlier this week, the newlywed posted a short video of her husband, New York City policeman Brendan McLoughlin, frying chicken. It’s a reference to a line in her new song, “Locomotive,” which she performed on ABC’s annual CMA Fest special on Sunday.

“‘I’m sweet tea sippin’ on the front porch sittin’ while my hubby fries chicken and I’m pickin’ these straaangs,’” Miranda captioned the video, quoting “Locomotive.”

But one hater couldn’t just enjoy the moment, commenting “It won’t last.”

Miranda, however, took the high road.

“Sure won’t!” she responded. “I’m gonna eat every piece of it! Can’t waste chicken!”

“Locomotive” will be on Miranda’s new album, which she’s teased should be out this fall. Its lead single, “It All Comes Out in the Wash,” is already a top thirty hit.
