The all-female supergroup The Highwomen invite you to have a seat at their “Crowded Table.”
On the same day Maren Morris, Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby play their first real gig at Rhode Island’s Newport Folk Festival, they’re also releasing the second track from their forthcoming album.
Brandi and Natalie wrote the tune about acceptance and working together with “Humble and Kind” hitmaker Lori McKenna.
“I want a house with a crowded table/And a place by the fire for everyone,” the foursome sings. “Let us take on the world while we’re young and able/And bring us back together when the day is done.”
The Highwomen are set to make their TV debut Tuesday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. You can tune in to watch starting at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
The self-titled debut from The Highwomen is set to arrive September 6.
