“CMA Fest” 2019 on ABC: Here’s what you’ll hear

ABC/Mark LevineHow much music can you cram into three hours of TV? Tune in for ABC’s CMA Fest special on Sunday, August 4, and you’ll find out.

The premiere of the yearly musical extravaganza is a little more than a week away, and now we know exactly which big names will be on the show and what they’ll be singing.

In what’s sure to be one of the night’s highlights, CMA Entertainer of the Year Keith Urban takes the stage with Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus to do a never-before-heard version of the mega-hit, “Old Town Road.”

Soon-to-be Country Music Hall of Famers Brooks & Dunn will do their REBOOT collaborations with Brothers Osborne and Ashley McBryde, while Carrie Underwood teams up with Joan Jett for a medley of rock hits like “I Hate Myself for Loving You” and “Bad Reputation.”

Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini both perform and host country’s primetime outing, which also includes dozens of country hits, past and present.

The sixteenth yearly special was shot at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium back in June, during the 48th annual gathering formerly known as Fan Fair. You can check out a sneak peek on YouTube now.
