MuttNation raises awareness for shelter pet adoption, and supports animal rescues across the country. Its 4th annual CMA Fest Adoption Drive at Fan Fair X at Nashville’s Music City Center last week offered country fans attending CMA Fest the chance to bring a shelter pup home. When all was said and done, a record number of dogs found their forever homes.
Each afternoon from last Thursday through Sunday, the Nashville Humane Association brought 15 or more adoptable dogs — all named for country stars like Alan Jackson, Zac Brown and Emmylou Harris — to Fan Fair X. By Sunday afternoon, 61 pups had been adopted.
“To the uninitiated, it probably sounded like dogs barking. But to me, knowing the pure joy that comes with owning a rescue dog – or eight – it was music to my ears,” Miranda said in a statement.
