Justin Moore will remember “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” during Monday’s National Memorial Day Parade

ABC/Image Group LAIf you listen to Justin Moore‘s latest hit, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home,” you can’t miss the fact that he has tremendous respect for America’s servicemen and women.

For the Arkansas native, it’s something that hits close to home.

“One of my grandpas retired out of the Navy, the other was in the Air Force, and so I was super close to both of them,” Justin explains. “I mean my entire family was pretty patriotic in that sense. And, you know, I have countless uncles and cousins and that kind of stuff who’ve served.”

As you might imagine, Justin grew up with a great sense of gratitude toward the members of America’s military.

“You know, it was well known that, ‘Hey, we need to be really thankful for these men and women and what they do for us on a daily basis,’” he recalls.

It’s a message Justin’s sure to pass on in all of his shows.

“I say it every night on stage how much they mean to us and that, you know, at times I’m sure it can feel like they’re taken for granted but certainly that’s not the case with me and my guys out here,” he points out.

On Monday, Justin will perform “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” during the 15th annual National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, DC, which starts at 2 p.m. ET. You can watch the parade on many ABC stations, or stream it at ABC.com.
