Dolly invites you to Wildwood Grove, Dollywood’s biggest expansion ever

ABC/Lou RoccoWith summer fast approaching, Dollywood’s largest expansion ever — called Wildwood Grove — is now open in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Dolly Parton herself unveiled the new part of the park over the weekend, wearing an elaborate butterfly ensemble to match the insects that are prevalent in Wildwood Grove. She even debuted a new version of her 1974 hit, “Love Is Like a Butterfly,” to serve as the new addition’s theme song.

Visitors walk through a replica of an ancient hollow log to get to the new attractions. At its center is the butterfly-laden Wildwood Tree, surrounded by eleven new family experiences and six new rides.

They include the Dragonflier, which mimics the flight of a dragonfly, the spinning and soaring Treetop Tower, the Great Tree Swing, and the kid-friendly Frogs & Fireflies ride.

Dollywood is open daily now, with the Splash Country Water Park set to start its season on Saturday.
