First thing’s first — Wild Willie plays all the songs that made me fall in love with country music in the first place, so it would be impossible for me to be more ecstatic about spending my afternoons with Willie!
I’m all about making a long story short, so here are a few fun facts about who I am and what I do:
I’ve spent over half of my life in Panama City, having left for a decade or so to do radio in other markets (Atlanta, Columbus, Atlanta again).
I got into radio right out of high school while working as an entertainment journalist and photographer. My first “real” interviews include Joe Nichols (while I was attending Mosley High School), Clay Walker and Gary Allan (my all time favorite).
I am in LOVE with this city and the people who live here. I’m involved in the community as much as I possibly can be, because I really feel like sitting in front of a microphone all day and not giving back would make me a jerk. (That’s code for tell me about your charity events so I can help!)
I’m pretty easy to please. I love concerts, my people, lip gloss, good wine/vodka and laughing at how ridiculously insane life gets sometimes.
I got married in 2004 and we haven’t killed each other yet, so it’s going well. My husband and I have no children, which means I can pretty much drink and say bad words whenever I want. And it’s awesome.
We do, however, have three rescue dogs and I’m amazing at matching people with homeless pets. (That’s code for if you leave me alone in your house, you’ll have a new fur baby when you return.)
Music is my very favorite thing in life. Seriously, I nearly hyperventilate when I hear I song I love. And I love LOTS of songs. Some call it mental illness; I call it passion.
